Cleaning Makeup out of a Carpet

Some women spend a lot of time applying makeup each day. Chances are that you have spilled some of that makeup onto your carpet on more than one occasion. There is a simple solution to removing the spilled substance.

You must apply a pre wash stain remover to the area of the spill. Carpet cleaning Huntington Beach recommends using a light cleaning solution with minimum chemicals that won’t damage the carpet fibers. It must be sprayed directly onto the makeup. Make sure that you do not rub the stain or scrub the stain because that only makes the spill worse. Let the pre-wash solution soak into the rug completely.

It is best to wait for an hour or so to let the solution have a chance to work on the different chemicals in the makeup. Rinse the solution with some warm water and blot the area. Please remember not to rub the area because that only makes it worse, increasing the difficulty of the stain removal process. Once you dab the area, you should notice the stain has lightened up. Repeat the process as many times as needed to get the makeup all the way out.

Using Detergents to Clean Your Carpet

A lot of people are skeptical about using detergents. Most people think that detergents are harmful to the fibers; that is a misconception. If it is a mild detergent or a strong one, that is perfectly fine. It is okay to use the detergents on makeup, eyeliner, lipstick, and pretty much any other stain that is considered very difficult remove with a homemade solution. Some of the detergents are expensive but others are fairly reasonable when trying to clean your carpet yourself.
